Rock N Roll Last night was mom and dad's night out! We went to the yearly hair metalfest...the Poison show! This was our fourth year in a row seeing these guys. Also on the bill were Faster Pussycat, Winger and Cinderella and on the side stage was Pretty Boy Floyd. I have to say this year was one of the better years for Poison. After four years of hearing the same old songs, it can get a bit stale. But this year they have a new album called Hollyweird, and believe it or not, it's pretty good. They played a couple of songs from the new album, which added a nice new flavor to the show. For as old as they are getting, they still have tons of energy and know how to put on a great show. We topped off the night by going to a local bar to see Pretty Boy Floyd again. It was kind of sad to see a band that had an album on a major label open up for a local band. But hey, it was still cool to see them. And to get out of the house and feel like a kid again! Posted by Sharon Return to Sharon's Cyber Scrapbook Saturday, June 29, 2002 Baby, Baby, Baby I will probably talk a lot about my baby in this blogger! Every day with her brings a new adventure. Chip does this little thing with her where he makes her legs go in the motion of riding a bike. While doing that he says, "ride the bike and ride the bike..." Yesterday, she started "riding the bike" all on her own! It's the cutest thing to watch those little legs go crazy! I just love her so much! Some other baby notes, Maleena started rolling from her back to her tummy. The only problem is that she isn't real fond of being on her tummy so she gets upset since she hasn't figured out how to roll onto her back. It's only a matter of time! Speaking of babies, I found this great blogger called BabyBurps. After corresponding with the owner of the blog, I found out that his baby was born 3 days after Maleena! It will be fun to read about his baby stories and hear about his baby's progress! Have I mentioned that babies are amazing? 
Posted by Sharon Return to Sharon's Cyber Scrapbook Thursday, June 27, 2002 Whiplash They tell me that I have whiplash and that will cost $2000 and 48 visits to fix. Ouch! Two thousand buckaroos? Three visits a week for eight weeks? I don't have that kind of money or time. Not to mention that I had some fear instilled in me by a friend... ;) I guess I'll try to tough it out. Or, maybe go to the doctor's where I can get some drugs for $8 to take the pain away. I've survived this long, I'm sure I can make it a little bit longer. I guess I had either too many car accidents in my past or too much headbanging as a teenager! Posted by Sharon Return to Sharon's Cyber Scrapbook Tuesday, June 25, 2002 Chiropractor So, I got snookered into going for a free consultation and x-rays. I have this annoying pain in my neck and shoulder that I have had off and on for years. I went yesterday for the x-rays and now I have to go back today for the consultation...I saw dollar signs in the doctor's eyes. Sure I want to get rid of this pain, but will it take one treatment or 200? After a quick glance at the x-rays the doctor said that it looks there was an effect on my spine from an accident that I was in. I know this could be potentially expensive. I guess I will find out just how much today. What better way to get into people's pocketbooks than through their pain? I guess I shouldn’t have an attitude, it would be nice to feel better. (really his second, but Maleena was just a little peanut last year) Thirty years have gone by and now this year brings new meaning to the holidays. What a wonderful father Chip is. He amazes me with his love and patience that he has with his new daughter. When they play together or he sings to her, it just melts my heart. She's so lucky to have him for a father and I am so lucky to have him as a husband and best friend. Happy First Father's Day!! 
Posted by Sharon Return to Sharon's Cyber Scrapbook Monday, June 10, 2002 Chew Your Bubblegum Babies are simply amazing. I never could have imagined how amazing they are before having one of my own. This weekend has marked some large milestones for Maleena. At 4-1/2 months, she is realizing that she can imitate. The other day I was chewing gum. After several minutes I realized that Maleena was imitating me! So, now I tell her to chew her bubblegum and smack my lips and after a while she will imitate me! She also started making "raspberries", she pulled a glass to her mouth and "drank" water from it and started eating solids. All of this in one weekend! Having a baby is so much fun. I am going to cherish every moment to it's fullest, because babies grow too fast!

Last night, I was dreaming that my friend invited me over to her new house for a party. Her new house was actually my parent's house built inside a really large new house. The roof was removed from my parent's house, so you could go up to the attic and look down at all the people on the bottom floor. Puff Daddy was at this party and he left a bag of drugs in the bathroom. I was in a panic because there were cops at this party and I didn't want my friend to get into trouble. How do I come up with this stuff? Oh what wacky, wacky dreams!! Posted by Sharon Return to Sharon's Cyber Scrapbook Monday, June 03, 2002 Dream Theater Woohoo! Yippie! I just found out that Dream Theater is coming to town! They are actually playing at a bigger venue this time with actual seats in it! No more standing outside in 20 degree weather for 2 hours just to stand by the stage. Hmmmm...but will I get good pictures? Probably not...oh well, I'm sure that it will be an awesome show anyway!!
