New Beginning, New Blogger

I haven't been posting much here these days. I have been quite exhausted and busy with another blogger that I started. My husband and I always wanted two children and we thought that it would be great to have them close in age. Since it took almost a year to concieve our daughter we thought that it would be best to start trying soon. Well, to our surprise, we concieved right away! The first time! We never expected it to happen so fast. Since this is the biggest thing going on in my life at the moment, I decided to keep it seperate so I started a new blogger called Nine Months. I started posting in it right away. It's pretty much a place for me to vent some feelings about all of this. The first trimester is the hardest, so if you read it, you'll probably hear lots of whines about how sick and tired I am. :) I am due around December 5, but if this pregnancy is anything like the last, I will probably go some time mid to late November. And now, here's the little peanut that is making me want to sleep all of the time:

Watch Your Guestbook

I have a couple of guestbooks. I usually check them once in a while to see if I got any entries. The provider that I use is supposed to email me when someone signs them, but that doesn't always happen. Surprisingly, today my provider (alxnet.com) did notify me about a signing in my Ghostbook. When I saw that the signing was a bunch of code, I figured that I was in for trouble. When I went to my Ghostbook, it automatically opened up some girl's x-rated site. It filled the screen so I couldn't close it. I had to ctrl+alt+del to close it out. All I had to do was delete the entry and my guestbook was back to normal. I think this is such a rude thing to do to people's guestbooks. I guess these people are too cheap to advertise their garbage website's where people might actually care to see them. I just wanted to put this warning out there. If you have a guestbook, keep your eye on it!

Wild Night

My 15 month-old daughter's sleep habits have been disrupted by our trip to Canada. She normally sleeps through the night with no problem. Last night around 3 am, she started screaming for mama and dada. We tried to let her cry it out, with no success. So we went in and she continued to scream until we took her out of the crib. Once she was relaxed, we put her back in and she was not happy about that. We returned to bed and let her cry again, only this time she attempted to escape her crib. We heard a boom, and we knew what happened. We flew into her room as quickly as possible. She didn't get hurt but she appeared a bit stunned. I stayed with her until almost 5 am and put her back in the crib. She continued to cry, but not for long since she was so tired.

So, I finally get back to sleep and I end up having the most strange and vivid dreams. A friend that I used to work with that I haven't been in touch with for a long time called me on the phone. She explained to me that she needs to perform an exorcism in her house and I was the only person that she could think of to help her. I told her that I have not idea how to exorcise a spirit but I could give her some visualization tips that may help get rid of this evil disturbance. As I am explaining to her to picture a bright white light filling up her house, I realize that our phone connection was broken. I tried to call her back over and over, but I just couldn't complete the number or it would just hang up on me. I was going somewhere and ironically I ran into her husband. I told him to please have her call me back. He continued to fill me in on this unwelcome visitor in their home. He informed me that it possessed one of his children's friends who was visiting one day. I was telling my dad about this and he didn't believe it. I told him that I was going to try to help them by trying to communicate with the spirit while in my own home. No sooner that I tried, a deck of cards that was sitting on the table blew up in the air and all over the room. I feel my body go numb as if something is taking over it. Next thing I know, I am no longer a part of my body and I am floating and spinning out of control. I am frightened and yet I feel like I am in a safe place. But, I just want to get back into my body. I don't like the idea that something else is taking over it.

The next thing I do is wake up. And I think to myself, "Whew! It was just a dream!"

Oh Canada!

I can't believe that I only live 4 1/2 hours away from Canada and I have only been there twice! Several years ago, when my husband worked for an airline, we flew to Niagara Falls for a day. I was fun, but it wasn't very far from the border so it was very Americanized. We recently got an invite from my husband's long lost relatives (I posted that story in September) who live in Canada to come for a visit Easter weekend. Since we wanted to spend Easter Sunday with our family, we decided to drive there early Friday morning and drive home Saturday evening. It sounds like an easy trip, but considering that we had a one year old along, it gave us a few challenges. She wouldn't sleep in the portable crib that we brought along so we ended up letting her sleep in bed with us for the sake of getting some sleep. On the way home she fell asleep around her normal bedtime but when we got home around midnight, she decided that it was playtime. And we were beat... But my wonderful husband stayed up and played with her until 3 in the morning while I got some much needed rest. Besides all of that craziness, it was a nice weekend. The relatives that we were visiting are from originally Poland, so we got to try all kinds of ethnic foods. They showed us around their hometown of Hamilton, Ontario. It was a nice small town. But, I really didn't feel like I was in another country. There were Wal-Marts and McDonalds everywhere. They even took US dollars, which are worth more there. Of course, you get Canadian change in return. It was a nice little road trip, but I don't think we will be planning on anymore long road trips until our daughter is a bit older!

Not Much To Talk About

I haven't had much to say lately. My creativity and energy have been at it's all time low. So, I decided to get a little help and I visited this-or-that.org. It's a website that hosts 10 questions every Tuesday for bloggers to post their answers to. I didn't like the most recent set of questions, so I just grabbed one of the older ones that I liked. Here it goes:

1. Cold frosty ski slopes or warm sandy beach?
Give me a warm sandy beach, ANYTIME!

2. Chevy or Ford?
Chevy. I have an old Cavalier and it's been the best car that I ever had.

3. Mac or PC?
PC, I don't know a thing about Mac.

4. Dial-up or high speed internet access?
Unfortunately, Dial-up. I would love to have high speed, but it's just too expensive.

5. Small *family-only* wedding or large 200+ guest wedding?
Definitely small! Family and close friends only. We had just over 100 guests for our wedding 5 years ago.

6. Would you rather be the bridesmaid or the bride?
I enjoyed being the bride the best of my experiences of both.

7. AC/DC or ABBA?
AC/DC - it's gotta be metal!

8. Roses or daisies?
Roses

9. Trashy romance novels or classic literature?
I can't get into classic literature, so even though I don't read them I would have to choose trashy romance novels.

10.Thought-provoking question of the week...If you had to choose one...would you rather be blind or deaf? Why?
Yikes! I wouldn't choose either! But just for the sake of this silly questionnaire, I'll say deaf. I guess I am choosing that because I would still be able to get around.
