One More Download I joined an online photography stock agency called istockphoto.com back in December. It is very expensive to purchase photographs to use in graphic designs and web designs. So this site came up with an idea to make it affordable. They sell downloads of pictures for 50 cents a piece. Granted, these are not the highest of quality pictures like some pay hundreds for but they get the job done. Especially if you have a small job and don't need a super large print. The cool thing for us amateur photographer's is that we have a chance to make some money while learning and seeing that people will pay for your pictures. For every download, you get 10 cents. It doesn't sound like much but I am about to get my first check for $100! Yes, that is correct, of my 126 photos that I uploaded, there have been 1000 downloads total on them! I'm so excited, because I really didn't have to put a lot of work into these photos. I only need one more download and I'll have my 100 bucks! Which will more than likely go into buying more camera equipment! Sitting in front of the television for so long made me wonder why we spend $43 a month for this crap! I pretty much sat there and flipped and flipped and flipped. On Saturday night, I found a movie on Oh! called Dr. T and The Women. It had to be the dumbest movie ever created. I can't believe that I wasted two and a half hours of my life watching it! My husband and I have a few favorite shows that we like to video tape during the week and then watch on Friday night after the baby goes to sleep. They used to be good shows, now they are just stink or are being cancelled! One of them was Becker. It could be funny at times but how many laugh lines can you get out of a crabby doctor. I feel that it was time for that one to go any way. Just Shoot Me was one that I still enjoyed. The humor is just so goofy that I love it! Unfortunately, that one got canned too. The one that is still on that has really gone down hill is Will and Grace. This had to be the worst season ever! Why did they marry Grace to Leo? He's just a guest star, you know it's not going to last. And the way they left the season finale hanging was so stupid, I'm in no hurry to see what happens in the fall. Okay, now that I vented about how bad television is. I think I'll go lay down and rest a bit. Should I just read or see what's good on at 3:00 in the afternoon...ha, ha... Posted by Sharon Return to Sharon's Cyber Scrapbook Tuesday, May 13, 2003 It's Been A Year Wow, I started this Blog a year ago already. It's been a lot of fun and it forces me to be creative when I may not feel so otherwise. I don't know if people enjoy reading it or not, but I really enjoy posting here. (when I feel up to it - It's been difficult to keep up with since I've been having morning sickness and a 1-year-old who suddenly requires less sleep.) But, I am going to try my best. It's like having a place where I can say what ever I feel and not worry about what people think. It's like my own little soap box where I can just blab and blab away and occasionally, somebody may stop by and listen. They may leave their two cents or they might walk away and never return. Some people may come back a few times and only a very small few come back regularly. But, whatever the case, I enjoy writing here. :) Posted by Sharon Return to Sharon's Cyber Scrapbook |
