Busy, Busy, Busy For those who read my Nine Months blogger, you know that I had my baby on November 21. As you can imagine, life with a newborn and a 22 month old can get a bit busy! Actually, it's been a little easier than I expected. My daughter is so good with her little brother. She just loves him! I haven't been on my own just yet with the two of them. I'm sure that's going to be interesting since one requires a constant playmate and the other requires being feed every two hours. And I'm not bottle feeding... My mother-in-law has been here for a few days to help out. It's been nice to have help, but I guess I got to figure out how to do this on my own sooner or later! :) One of the hardest parts about having a newborn is the sleep pattern. Last night, he went down at 10:30 and was up and 12:00, 2:00, 5:00 and 7:00. It makes for a very rough night's sleep! By the time I relax and get into a good sleep, he's ready to be fed again! It doesn't feel as devastating this time though, since I know it won't be this way for a very long time. When we brought my daughter home, I remember feeling like this was how life was going to be forever. No sleep ever again! But, when she was 3 months old, she started to sleep through the night and my mental state was getting better! It's amazing how quick kids grow. It really wasn't that long ago that my daughter was an infant and now she's talking and singing and showing her independence. I just want to enjoy every moment as thoroughly as possible, no matter how sleep deprived, because I know one day I will look back and feel like their childhood was a blur!
